Background: Looking at Doyle Anghel Hitchcock's family tree it wouldn't take a dolt much to figure out that he was destined to be a wanderer. Doyle's mother was a witch of both Irish and Romanian Gypsy blood. She enchanted without any use of magic a man that spotted her from across the field at a music festival. That would be Doyle's father who was a professor of Medieval and Modern Languages at Oxford University. Even his father had a love of travel. He'd go off to some foriegn land to study the language. His father who has recently passed at a rip old age of 80 knew 38 different languages. Some say that it was his little bit of magic he had as a squib. All of Doyle's young life was spent traveling from place to place. He spent his time with his mother traveling around where ever the urge drove them. And over the Holi's they'd always meet up with his father and they'd go to some distant land so his father can learn his new language. It wasn't until he was accepted to Hogwarts that he was forced to stay in one place for so long. He had a hard time adapting. Things became easier once he could go out on Hogsmeade weekends. There wasn't an inch of the campus or of the village that Doyle hadn't explored. He seems to have an innate ability with brooms or any sort of traveling magic. So when he graduated Hogwarts it was very little surprise that he joined the Ministry of Magics Department of Magical Transportation. Where he's been a service Wizard for a the last couple of decades. England is his home though and he returns often. His family is very close his half brother was born 15 years after he was and he takes care of their mother as they still travel around with their Travelling family. His job and wanderlust has found him 40 without wife or family of his own. He's not exactly sure how he should feel about this. But he's decided not to worry about it too much. He's very happy with his life.

Magic: Doyle's first experiance with magic was when he was riding his first motorbike up a very steep hill. It really was a piece of junk bike. Almost a bicycle with a lawn mower motor attatched and it looked like it had been sitting in a shed since the day he was born. Was nearly on its death bed as it puttered and huffed trying to get up this mountain of a hill. With a growl and a kick and punch of the accilerator he was suddenly at the top of the hill!

Hogwarts: Hogwarts was pretty much a prison to the boy with wanderlust. The wanderlust has faded over the years but back when he was at Hogwarts he'd often do detention for going into the Forest or be out just wandering the castle discovering secret passages or just wandering to wander. He was always late for class and the only thing he was on time for was the Quidditch games. Until he was old enough to join as a Chaser. He'd grumble at teachers his seventh year when they'd chide him for being late. "Well if I could apparate...I'd have been here on time." He was the brooding bad boy back in his day. And really, not that much has changed. Though these days he might be considered grumpy rather than brooding making him a grump bad old man boy.
